Hi Everybody,

Some of us composers got together this summer and hatched an idea for a composers ensemble at Peabody. The plan is that the ensemble will be made mostly of composers who also perform, and we'll play all new pieces by students in the department. We'll be available for all of the composition department recitals, and hopefully also play a show somewhere off campus. Ideally, we'll have a regular weekly meeting time, and be guest coached by our teachers.

Our first step is to make a list of all interested composers, with their instruments. If you want to play, reply to this post with your name and instrument. This discussion board is new but I think it's a great idea (cheers to Ying-Chen!) so perhaps we'll need to organize using the email list... but I thought I'd give this a try first.
